Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to join our Northern California health system in Napa and Solano counties. The role combines a full-scope outpatient clinic with inpatient call coverage, offering state-of-the-art resources and a collaborative team of physicians and APPs.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex neurological conditions, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing treatments, and contributing to research and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified in Neurology.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state.
• Proven experience in Neurology procedures.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Diagnose complex neurological conditions through patient history, physical examinations, and specialized neurological testing.

• Perform and interpret lumbar punctures, electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies (NCS).

At Northbay Health, the Board-Certified, Licensed Neurologist will practice within our highly regarded health system in Northern California. NorthBay Health Neuroscience & Spine is comprised of expert neuroscience specialists dedicated to treating the full spectrum of complex neurological conditions.

With expertise in stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, brain tumors, neurotrauma, and other neurological conditions, our specialists provide around-the-clock emergency care with support from advanced-trained nurses and therapists for our health system in Solano County and Napa, California.

Scope of Practice:

Full-scope neurology practice, combining a full-time outpatient clinic with inpatient call coverage

Outpatient Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with dedicated procedure and administrative time

Call Schedule:

7 days of inpatient call coverage

Daily Patient Census:

14 to 16 patients

Equipment/Resources:

State-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment resources

Provider Support:

Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Compensation And Benefits (Based On 1.0 FTE W2)

• Total Compensation Range: $627, 560 - year 1 based on a 1.0 FTE employed (W2)
• Income Guarantee: $349,632 (Year 1-2)

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
