RUSH University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for RUSH Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of General Neurology with a focus in Headache Medicine.
The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center is expanding and seeking BC/BE academic and community Neurologists who have completed a Fellowship in Headache Medicine to join their downtown Main Campus. The current team includes 10 academic clinical neurologists with diverse clinical and academic interests, experienced in caring for patients with various neurological conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings. Candidates will receive a faculty appointment and will be part of the Department of Neurological Sciences. The role involves outpatient and inpatient care, with opportunities for teaching and research if desired. Candidates must be graduates of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency and board certified in neurology, with excellent clinical skills. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience, and a competitive salary and benefits package are offered.
There are excellent opportunities for clinical collaboration with over 100 faculty across neurological subspecialties and teaching with over 40 residents and fellows. The department has a strong research infrastructure supporting faculty research pursuits. Rush is committed to expanding its neuroscience program regionally and nationally, including a new ambulatory building opened in 2023.
