Job summary

Hawai‘i Pacific Health invites a dedicated Per‑Diem Neonatologist to care for newborns at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children and Queens Medical Center on O‘ahu. You will lead delivery room and NICU services, mentor residents and fellows, and participate in teaching and research with the University of Hawai‘i.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine or eligible.

About the Opportunity

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Neonatologist to join our team on the island of O‘ahu. Providing outstanding care to newborns at two hospitals, Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, which is a teaching hospital for the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) and consultant services for the Queens Medical Center.

What You’ll Do:

• Delivery room and intensive care services for newborns including ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, cardiac and pediatric surgery

• Participation in research and education through the University of Hawai‘i, John A. Burns School of Medicine

• Teaching and mentoring of neonatal fellows, pediatric residents and medical students

• Direct neonatal transports

• Participate in a multi-disciplinary care team which includes neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatal hospitalists, and pediatric sub-specialists

It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children.
