Overview
The position involves providing specialized neonatal care in a Level 3 NICU with an average daily census of 17 patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage care for over 400 NICU admissions each year.
- Participate in a schedule with 24-hour in-house coverage and 10-hour day shifts.
- Deliver advanced neonatal services including High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV), nitric oxide therapy, and therapeutic cooling.
- Collaborate with a team of seven neonatologists within a well-established practice.
- Teach and mentor observational students.
- Work within a regional perinatal center that facilitates approximately 4,000 deliveries annually.
- Support a multidisciplinary approach to neonatal care with close collaboration with obstetric and pediatric teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be Board Eligible (within five years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology (non-negotiable).
- Medical license in New Jersey or willingness to obtain one.
- Relevant experience as a Neonatologist; include years of experience in additional notes.
- A clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred.
- Indicate whether the provider currently resides in the area or is willing to relocate.
- Must obtain a DEA and CSR/CDS prior to commencement of employment (required).
