We are seeking an energetic and passionate board-certified/board eligible Neonatologist to join our growing Ochsner Neonatology Team and serve as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at one of our community Level III NICU located on the Northshore of beautiful Lake Pontchartrain.
Opportunity Details:
The NICU has 1,133 annual deliveries and includes 24/7 NNP in-house coverage.
The NICU participates in the Vermont Oxford Network and is eligible to participate in Ochsner system-based neonatal QI projects.

Ochsner Health encompasses a combination of community level III and level IV NICU services across Louisiana. The Ochsner network serves the Gulf South region with an established ground and air neonatal transport system.
Our comprehensive Ochsner Children’s program includes 88 primary care pediatricians in 27 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi - and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Children’s) totaling over 270 physicians. The group is the region’s leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, a comprehensive surgical sub-specialty group, advanced GI and Hepatology, advanced spine surgery, Hematology-Oncology and AYA Oncology, Cleft Palate/Cranio-Facial Surgery and the region’s only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics center.
Ochsner Children’s currently cares for patients in a 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, a NAEC-accredited level IV 4 bed Pediatric EMU and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, supported by a 24/7 dedicated pediatric and neonatal transport team utilizing rotary and fixed wing as well as ground transport.
