Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals seeks a physician to deliver high-quality patient care within their division.

The role may include teaching and supervising residents, medical students, and APPs, with responsibility for proper coding and corporate compliance. Board-certified MD/DO with hospital practice experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required and board certified in area of practice.
• Fellowship/Internship/Residency in related area required.
• Licensed physician in North Carolina or eligible to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality clinical care to patients within the division.
• Teach and supervise residents, medical students and/or APPs as appropriate.
• Ensure appropriate coding, corporate compliance, and participate in general administrative responsibilities.

Overview

The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students and/or APP?s within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values, and management of WPP and WakeMed. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Preferred; Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred; Basic Life Support Required
