Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Weight Management Physician to join our Weight Loss Center team in Fall River, Wareham, and nearby communities. This part-time role offers 36 hours weekly with day shifts and no weekend, holiday, or on-call obligations.

You will diagnose obesity as a chronic disease, develop personalized, multidisciplinary care plans, and participate in community outreach while using EPIC for documentation.

Competenze

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine.
• ABOM certification preferred.
• Experience in obesity care and related conditions.
• Current state medical license and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence and effective communication skills.

We are searching for a talented Medical Weight Management Physician.

Hours: Part-time - 36 hours

Shift: Day - no weekend, holiday, or on call

Position Overview

Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician to join our esteemed team consistingof 4 Physicians supported by 6 Advanced Practice Practitioners.The successful candidate will contribute to our tradition of practice excellence and play a pivotal role in advancing patient care in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to diagnose clinical obesity, addressing its multifactorial nature with compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Treat obesity as a chronic disease with evidence-based, personalized plans integrating medical, nutritional, behavioral and emotional care.
• Ensuring each patient receives high-quality care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage obesity-related conditions and comorbidities.
• Conduct in person consultations at our Fall River, Wareham & Hyannis locations
• Provide virtual consultations.
• Educate patients on the science and complexities of obesity emphasizing a supportive environment.
• Currently using EPIC for all patient interactions.
• Document treatment plans and progress notes in accordance with practice protocols.
• Participate in community outreach and educational events to highlight awareness and guidance on nutrition and obesity care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine
• Preference will be given to candidates certified in obesity medicine (ABOM)
• Experience in providing care for patients with obesity & related conditions
• Current state medical license and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
