AtlantiCare in New Jersey is seeking a physician to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care aligned with specialty practice objectives and organizational goals.
You will engage in quality improvement, maintain current clinical skills, participate in medical staff programs, and collaborate with leaders and staff to support teaching activities. This role reports to the VP Medical Affairs, Department Chairman and/or Medical Director.
The physician provides high quality, cost‑effective patient care that supports established specialty practice objectives and strategic organizational goals. The physician establishes preventive measures, diagnoses and treats illnesses and disorders in a competent manner consistent with medical practice and protocols. Patient care is delivered in a cost‑effective manner, managing and utilizing resources optimally. By demonstrating compassion and respect for the individual, the physician provides care that meets the customer’s expectations.
The physician works collaboratively with physician leaders, administration and staff to improve clinical outcomes. The physician participates in quality improvement efforts organization‑wide and plays an active role as a member of medical staff committees. The physician maintains current technical knowledge and seeks educational and professional opportunities to enhance clinical practice and competency. The physician contributes towards the organization’s medical staff programs and teaching activities. The physician participates in the peer review process to enhance clinical practice, demonstrating sound judgment and respect for colleagues.
The physician demonstrates the clinical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
Potential exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, blood‑borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and potential injury. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
This position reports to the Vice President of Medical Affairs, Department Chairman and/or Medical Director.
