The Center Medical Director collaborates with the Center Leadership Team and Regional Medical Director to oversee medical policies and ensure high-quality occupational healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and lead by example to create an exceptional patient experience.
- Collaborate with therapists and specialists to optimize clinical outcomes.
- Monitor clinical metrics related to quality outcomes.
- Manage clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with supervisory requirements.
- Foster a professional, collaborative, and safe working environment.
- Utilize clinical systems efficiently for documentation, coding, and charge capture.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.
- Drive patient and client experience metrics.
- Communicate with employers about injuries and clinical updates.
- Participate in leadership meetings to improve quality and growth.
- Maintain relationships with clients and payers, responding within 24 hours.
- Manage staffing levels and promote a positive culture aligned with Orange Book values.
- Develop staff and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
- Contribute to financial management and business outcomes.
Qualifications
Education/Credentials
- MD or DO from an accredited program
- Board certification by ABPM, ABFM, or equivalent
- State licensure
- ACLS certification preferred
Experience
- 5-8 years in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine
Skills & Competencies
- Service mentality, attention to detail, initiative, and flexibility
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and professionalism
- Knowledge of occupational medicine, OSHA, DOT, and clinical operations
- Leadership, coaching, and staff development abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information
