Physician Medical Director (Non Clinical) - Providence St. Joseph Medical Center

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Physician Advisor/UM Medical Director to join a strong leadership team promoting high-value care in Burbank, California. This role involves fostering collaborative relationships between the medical center and its physicians to improve clinical quality, resource utilization, and value, while supporting mission outcomes. You will work closely with physician leadership, the Director of Care Management, and executive leaders including the CMO, CNO, and CFO. Responsibilities include providing clinical expertise to Care Management, addressing escalations such as admission status, discharge delays, and clinical input for denial management. This position offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of healthcare leadership within a mission-driven organization.

Minimum Qualifications

1. MD or DO from an accredited program
2. 3+ years of medical group management experience
3. Knowledge of utilization management and review processes
4. Understanding of healthcare industry dynamics
5. Strong relationship-building skills with medical staff, Board, and management
6. Effective communication and motivational skills with medical staff leadership
7. Monday to Friday schedule, on-site at PSJMC in Burbank, no travel
8. Compensation between $325,000 and $380,000 annually
