Concentra is seeking a Physician Medical Director for our Maryland Heights, MO location. This role blends clinical patient care with leadership, quality improvement, and business development within a leading workplace health organization.

The Medical Director will spend most of their time in clinical care while also guiding medical model execution, collaborating with the Center Leadership Team, and driving outcomes across the clinic.

Qualifications

• Active medical license in the state of jurisdiction.
• Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for the state of jurisdiction, prior to start date.
• Must be eligible to participate in Medicare.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty preferred.
• FMCSA NRCME certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in a clinic-based setting while leading by example.
• Offers leadership in healthcare management to ensure day-to-day execution of the medical model and collaborates with therapists and specialists.
• Manages clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with supervisory requirements.
• Creates a professional and collaborative working environment for center staff.
• Identifies and implements changes to continuously improve the medical clinic.
• Maintains relationships with center clients and payers.
• Works with leadership to manage clinical and support staffing levels.

Scope of Practice: Occupational Health + Urgent Care

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

• This clinic-based position provides direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience
• Provides leadership in healthcare management to ensure day-to-day execution of medical model collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closure
• Manages clinicians, support staff, and complies with APC supervisory requirements
• Creates a professional and collaborative working environment
• Works with leaders to identify and implement changes to ensure continuous medical clinic improvement
• Maintains relationships with center clients and payers
• Works with medical clinic leadership team to manage clinical and support staffing levels
• Promotes, cultivates, and exemplifies Concentra values for all clinic colleagues
• Fosters an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient/colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement and reward and recognition
• Possesses financial awareness and provides input to clinic budget and key business metrics

• Hours M-F, 8 to 5, no nights, no weekends, no holidays - along with 30+ days off a year.
