Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Director to provide direct patient care and lead by example within a fast-growing occupational health network. The role blends patient care with management responsibilities, guiding clinical teams and collaborating with center leadership to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will contribute to quality improvements, budget oversight, and key business metrics while advancing professional development and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted MD or DO license.
• Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for state of jurisdiction (required prior to start date).
• Must be eligible to participate in Medicare.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty preferred.
• FMCSA NRCME certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and leads by example in the clinical setting.
• Partners with clinic leadership to drive quality care and operational excellence.
• Manages clinicians and support staff to meet budget and scheduling needs.
• Fosters a collaborative, professional environment focused on safety and patient outcomes.
• Engages with payers and center clients to maintain relationships and ensure continuity of care.

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $250,000 to $286,000, depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience, geographic location where the work is performed, and/or seniority.

• This clinic-based position provides direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience
• Provides leadership in healthcare management to ensure day-to-day execution of medical model collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closure
• Manages clinicians, support staff, and complies with APC supervisory requirements
• Creates a professional and collaborative working environment
• Works with leaders to identify and implement changes to ensure continuous medical clinic improvement
• Maintains relationships with center clients and payers
• Works with medical clinic leadership team to manage clinical and support staffing levels
