Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine physician to join our Urgent Care team at Streets of Caledonia in O'Fallon, MO. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages with acute and urgent health issues in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, diagnosing acute illnesses, developing treatment plans, patient education, and collaboration with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments including history, physical exams, and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and infections.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans with medications and therapies.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and prevention.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes.
• Maintain efficient urgent care workflow with 15–20 minute visits from 8 am to 8 pm.
• Be prepared to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages with acute and urgent health issues. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing for all patients
• Diagnose and treat a variety of acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and other therapies as appropriate
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Urgent Care schedule 15–20-minute visits 8 am - 8 pm
• The position involves direct patient contact and requires the ability to stand and move throughout the clinic for extended periods
• Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the urgent care needs of patients
