About The Position

Shift : 7-days on / 7 days off with a changeover on Tuesday; 7:00 p-7:00 a

Description : Call Required: No call required

Practice Staffing Model : Increased census; 3 MDs and 1 APP for each of two (2) rotating teams on day shift; 1 MD on rotating teams on night shift; MDs will cover ICU as an open ICU until additional Pulmonary & Critical Care physicians are added; 24/7 Tele-Intensivist

Types of Procedures / Cases : Typical med-surg community hospital with 24/7 specialty on-call providers in non-invasive Cardiology, ENT including healthy pediatrics, General Surgery, GI, Orthopedics, Urology, and OBGYN; census is budgeted at 40-48 patients with approximately 5,000 admissions per year; med-surg contains 44 private and 4 semi-private rooms, and ICU contains 8 private rooms (typically utilizing 6 rooms with MD supervision); experience with central lines, intubations, thoracentesis, and paracentesis preferred, though work with other service lines is possible when capabilities are limited.
