Compensation Information: $166.18 - $184.64 / hour

We are looking for a Physician to assess and treat patients’ physical health in clinical and correctional settings. The role includes oversight of clinical care activities provided by ARNPs, documentation, after-hours on‑call responsibilities, and collaboration with psychiatric and interdisciplinary staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical health through examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Provide and oversee documentation, outside referrals, consultations, and follow‑ups.
• Offer clinical oversight and support to ARNPs, including care provision and documentation review.
• Perform minor medical procedures such as sutures, IV placement, and lumbar puncture.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

• Medical doctorate (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university.

EXPERIENCE

• Two (2) years post‑residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting.
• Psychiatric experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Licensed in the state of employment.
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications.
• Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine.

Candidates should be able to manage a full‑spectrum primary care panel focused on chronic disease management (HTN, diabetes, COPD, CHF), infection disease, acute complaints (abdominal pain, chest pain, infections, injuries), and medication management. Candidates should also be able to manage withdrawal processes and oversee MAT protocols. Our providers often perform suturing minor lacerations, abscess incision & drainage, and wound care.
