About Maternal-Fetal Medicine

SCF’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine, also known as high-risk obstetrics or perinatology, provides complete consultation and evaluation of high-risk pregnancies for women and newborns who have complications identified prior to or during pregnancy. This clinic works collaboratively with OB-GYN physicians and certified nurse midwives to ensure the health and well-being of mothers and babies.

Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree required
  • Licensed as a Physician in Alaska
  • Current American Board certification in an appropriate specialty
  • Meet all requirements for associate medical staff membership and privileges
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, PALS, and other relevant certifications as per scope of practice
