Physician / Maternal Fetal Medicine / Alabama / Permanent / Academic Maternal Fetal Medicine Opportunity on the Gulf Coast

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at this prestigious medical school on the Gulf Coast is recruiting candidates for our vibrant Maternal Fetal Medicine Division at the level of Assistant Professor. The physician will provide outpatient and inpatient consultative services for high-risk pregnancies. Candidate must have an interest in medical and student education. Special interests in genetics and opioid use during pregnancy are potential areas of growth. There are several new initiatives in our department, including Telehealth Medicine.

Our antepartum and Labor and Delivery Units are located at our state-of-the-art, free-standing Children's and Women's Hospital. The Level III NICU has a capacity of 130 beds. Our faculty practices and AIUM ultrasound units are situated in the newly constructed Patient Care Center. We have active divisions in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Gynecologic Oncology services.

Qualified candidates must have an MO/DO degree, successfully completed a 4-year ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program, and completed an ABOG-recognized Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship. Candidates must be BC/BE in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
