Job summary

The Michigan Veteran Homes seeks a Medical Director to oversee medical care, treatment, and the welfare of veteran residents at Grand Rapids or Chesterfield, CMS-certified, 128-bed facilities. You will direct operations of the Home's medical services, ensuring high-quality care and compliance.

A medical degree with at least four years of post-degree experience is required. Some positions may require board certification and Michigan licensure, and random drug and alcohol testing applies where

• Possession of a medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Four years of post medical degree experience in the practice of medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery.
• Board certification may be required for some positions.
• Michigan licensure to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery.

Responsibilities

• Direct operations of the Home for medical care, treatment, and personal welfare of its veteran members, ensuring provision of adequate and appropriate medical services.
• Oversee medical services, ensure quality of care, and maintain CMS compliance for Grand Rapids and Chesterfield facilities.

Education

Possession of a medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
