The Physician Liaison/Record Integrity Analyst, under the leadership of the HIM Supervisor/Manager, performs detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of hospital medical records to ensure completion and compliance with hospital policy and state and federal regulatory agencies, and to ensure timely documentation for coding and billing purposes. This position is responsible for conducting clinical pertinence audits, auditing record content against Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, The Joint Commission Standards (TJC), and CMS regulations. The results of these audits will be reported to Medical Staff committees in each hospital.
Associates Degree or active enrollment in an accredited Health Information Management Program.
For internal candidates, an Associate’s Degree is preferred, or two years of HIM experience with exceeding JHHS quality and productivity standards for the previous six months.
None. RHIT preferred.
Track One: Two years of experience in a Health Information Management department or clinical setting required.
Track Two: RHIT/RHIA credential with one-year Health Information Management experience required.
Minimum $18.59/hour - Maximum $30.69/hour. Compensation will be based on equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
