Job Summary

Drives volumes throughout the organization, with a focus on service line and programmatic growth initiatives within all Memorial Hermann facilities, ancillaries, and outpatient clinics. Partners with key executives, administrators, and physician leaders to build positive relationships with physicians/providers, employer groups, and managed care payers. Must be results-driven and capable of executing growth strategies across the care continuum.

Job Description

We are looking to fill a Physician Liaison position for the Surgical, Oncology, and Heart & Vascular Service Lines in the following regions:

  • Katy
  • Cypress

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Business Development experience highly preferred
  • Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or medical device sales
  • Healthcare sales/marketing/outreach experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional, articulate, able to interact with physicians and leaders of all levels

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare, or four (4) years of experience in a competitive sales, development, or growth role.

Licenses/Certifications: Member of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), or clinical background preferred (CMA, LVN, physical therapists, etc.).

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Four (4) years of experience in aggressive healthcare or pharmaceutical sales.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Manage and coordinate all growth activities locally and regionally, as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Network Performance Team (NPT) on performance and process improvement initiatives. Communicate and execute on strategic imperatives driven by Service Line Business Development and Division executives.
  • Focus on utilization and referral management activities, ensuring critical conversations with providers are occurring and shared appropriately, complying with standards.
  • Gather and share market intelligence, maintain SWOT analyses of competitors, and recommend strategies.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual targets, budgets, and projections.
  • Track business expenses, ensure compliance, and analyze growth metrics related to service line strategies.
  • Handle and resolve provider complaints or escalate as necessary.
  • Cross-train with support teams to meet quality and financial targets.
  • Create and execute strategies for meeting volume targets, using emerging technology and Salesforce or approved vendors.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with healthcare providers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Escalate issues to senior management and participate in physician meetings to ensure alignment.
  • Enhance MH brand awareness and monitor competitive threats.
  • Ensure achievement of targets through performance management and recognition.
  • Meet with physicians to assess needs and relationships.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through publications, societies, and networking.
  • Plan for and achieve individual and divisional targets aligned with organizational policies.
  • Participate in sales planning, forecasting, and quota development.
  • Ensure safe care, adhere to policies, and manage resources efficiently.
  • Support professional growth and serve as a mentor and resource.
  • Demonstrate commitment to community care by providing compassionate, personalized experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
