Job Description Summary:

Under the direction of the Associate Director, Referral Base Management, this role involves coordinating and implementing referral base management, community outreach, employer marketing, and communication initiatives. The goal is to increase physician referrals, raise awareness of services, and ultimately, elevate patient census in the assigned territory. Responsibilities include increasing year-over-year total new patient census, with an emphasis on oncology referrals, managing local marketing budgets and expenses.

Primary Key Performance Areas:

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with physicians and key strategic partners. Regular visits to physician offices and hospitals are required to increase referrals. Must be adaptable to change and flexible in meeting practice goals.
  2. Enhance community outreach by partnering with local organizations, community groups, and hospital liaisons.
  3. Plan, schedule, and attend dinners, meetings, and educational programs for Company physicians to engage with the public, current, and prospective referral physicians, and hospital staff.
  4. Adjust marketing strategies to reflect regional changes, including new physicians, insurance updates, and new service offerings.
  5. Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and implement regional marketing materials tailored to referral sources.
  6. Provide territory analysis to leadership and regional directors.
  7. Assist new physicians in practice building by introducing them to referrers and the community; participate in events where physicians present or moderate.
  8. Research and coordinate sponsorship opportunities, presenting options to physicians.
  9. Manage local marketing efforts, including budgeting, advertising, and sponsorship campaigns.
  10. Represent the Company in community outreach, including engagement with non-profits like the American Cancer Society and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
  11. Prepare presentations utilizing marketing materials such as brochures, data, and reports.
  12. Maintain accurate industry contacts in CRM and utilize data analysis tools for strategic planning.
  13. Stay informed about company offerings to promote new services.
  14. Forecast market trends and prepare reports for leadership.
  15. Prepare status reports as required.
  16. Post-probation, participate in onboarding and training of new Physician Liaisons.
  17. Adhere to all safety, HIPAA, and patient care regulations with integrity.

Position Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, Healthcare, or related field preferred.

Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver's license required; compliance with safety and MVR policies necessary.

Experience: At least four years in oncology, urology, or medical outside sales; understanding of physician practice operations; CRM experience; ability to work across multiple geographies; strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; customer service orientation; ability to work independently and in a team; flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Travel: 0% to >75% possible, depending on role needs.

Standard Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional evening/weekend events.
