Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our Brandon, FL outpatient practice.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain using evidence-based interventional techniques in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting. The role emphasizes comprehensive care, patient education, and staying current with advances in interventional pain medicine.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine through Anesthesiology or PM&R.
• Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure.
• Experience performing interventional pain procedures; neuromodulation and implant experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Perform interventional pain procedures: medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, peripheral nerve blocks.
• Assess candidates for advanced therapies: spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery systems.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, therapists, and care coordinators.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, options, expectations, and long-term management.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Stay current with interventional pain medicine advancements.

Join a Growing, Patient-Focused Interventional Pain Practice

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our established outpatient practice in the Brandon area. This is an excellent opportunity to practice evidence-based interventional pain medicine in a collaborative environment with experienced providers, dedicated clinical support, and a strong referral network.

Schedule

Full-time

Monday through Friday

Shared after-hours telephone call approximately once every 4–6 weeks

What You'll Do

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.

Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

Perform a wide range of interventional pain procedures, including:

• Medial branch blocks
• Radiofrequency ablation
• Peripheral nerve blocks

Evaluate and manage candidates for advanced pain therapies, including:

• Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS)
• Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS)
• Intrathecal Drug Delivery Systems (Pain Pumps)

Collaborate closely with primary care providers, specialists, therapists, and care coordinators to optimize patient outcomes.

Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, expectations, and long-term pain management strategies.

Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation within the electronic medical record.

Stay current with advancements in interventional pain medicine and participate in continuing medical education.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school (or foreign equivalent).

Completion of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine through:

• Anesthesiology
• Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure.

Experience performing interventional pain procedures; neuromodulation and implant experience preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
