Trinity Health Medical Group in Muskegon, Michigan is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiology Physician to join our regional Cardiovascular Group. The role involves direct patient care, cath lab procedures, and collaboration with APPs, nurses, and cardiology colleagues.

This straight Interventional Cardiologist position offers a private-practice style culture with the backing of a large health system, no structural heart time, and opportunities for teaching, research, and community

Qualifications

• Board certification in their specialty or eligibility within the designated timeframe.
• Interventional Cardiology Fellowship completed.
• Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain.
• DEA license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume cath lab setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including APPs, RNs, and technicians.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring of medical staff and students.
• Document in Epic EMR and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support community health initiatives and outcomes improvements.

Opportunity Details

The THMG Cardiovascular Group is a regional cardiology practice featuring a 10-physician cardiology group in Muskegon, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to the lakeshore and surrounding communities. The group is part of THMG Cardiology, West Michigan, and participates in the Cardiovascular Network of West Michigan, a joint venture between Trinity Health and University of Michigan Health West.

This opportunity is for a straight Interventional Cardiologist. No structural heart time is included.

Trinity Health Muskegon also has a strong Cardio-Thoracic program that further supports the Structural Health program and ever-growing EP service.

We promote a strong interdisciplinary model of care utilizing Advance Practice Professionals, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants to augment our professional providers.

Clinic visits include 12-15 per day and Cath Lab: 3-6 procedures per day depending on schedule and preference.

Call requirement is no more than 1:5

• Complete consultation, assessment, and plan for individualized treatment

• Coumadin testing and teaching


• Lipid management


• Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) management


• Full-service pacemaker/implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Clinic and remote monitoring


• Presurgical evaluation


• Valvular Heart Disease

Hospital Management Services

• Cardiac catheterizations


• Coronary angioplasty and stenting (PCI)


• Electrical cardioversions


• Emergency (heart attack) angioplasty


• Inpatient consultation


• Inpatient diagnostic testing


• Pacemaker, bi-ventricular pacemaker, internal cardiac defibrillator implantation and loop recorders


• Structural heart procedures (ASD, PFO, TAVR)


• Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE)
