Odyssey Locums is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for a hospital-based locum tenens assignment in Paducah, KY. The role involves inpatient/EMTALA call coverage with balloon angioplasty, PCI, and coronary angiograms.

Responsibilities

• Respond to cardiology calls for the hospital and provide general cardiology consults as needed.
• Read and interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests including nuclear stress studies.
• Perform interventional procedures such as balloon angioplasty, PCI, and coronary angiograms as part of inpatient/EMTALA call duties.

The Role:

• Location: Paducah, KY 42003
• Assignment duration: 91
• In House Call: 24Hour 24 hour on-call shifts (7am - 7am); 3-7 days per month
• Practice Setting: Inpatient/EMTALA Call
• Cases: Balloon Angioplasties; Coronary Angioplasty; Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI); Heart Catheterization; Coronary Angiograms. General cardiology responsibilities include responding to all cardiology calls for the hospital, providing general cardiology consults as needed, and reading studies including EKG, ECHOs, and stress tests (including nuclear stress).
• Site Charting System: Epic Cupid
• Number of Interventional Cardiologists in Group: 2
• Patient Age Demographic: Adult patient population
• Average Number of Clinic Patients Per Day: No ambulatory work
• Dates of coverage: Nov 23-26; Dec 1-4; Dec 29-Jan 1
• Travel Reimbursement / Lodging: Lodging approximately $150/night; other bookings approved at standard/economy rates
• Required / Preferred Qualifications: Board Certified; Active Kentucky license required (willing to consider IMLC if provider has 3-7 days/month availability); DEA required; ACLS required; COVID vaccine preferred. Must list availability for dates listed in job description at time of name clear. At time of name clear, indicate if provider has previously worked at the facility (facility name, last date worked, agency) if applicable.
