Job summary

CompHealth is assisting in filling a hospital-employed cardiology position located near Hickory, NC, at a center with a Chest Pain Center accreditation. The team includes six board-certified cardiologists and five APPs, offering a collaborative practice with emphasis on advanced coronary interventions.

The schedule is Monday to Friday with weeknights and rotating weekends; we coordinate interviews, license support, and salary/contract negotiation to secure the right fit for you.

Responsibilities

• Join 6 board-certified cardiologists and 5 APPs in a hospital-employed practice
• Accredited Chest Pain Center at a not-for-profit medical center
• Full scope of coronary interventions including stenting, atherectomy, and thrombectomy
• Left and right heart catheterization with or without nitrous oxide available onsite

Job description

Located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Hickory has a temperate climate and abundance of natural resources. You will be just minutes from Lake Norman, the largest lake in North Carolina with upscale lake shore communities, eateries, and recreational opportunities. You will also be close to both Charlotte and Asheville.

CompHealth has relationships with hospitals across the country and often know about jobs before they are advertised.

• Monday - Friday schedule with 2 - 3 week nights, every 4th weekend, and rotating holiday call

• Accredited Chest Pain Center at a not-for-profit medical center
• Full scope of coronary interventions including stenting, atherectomy, and thrombectomy
• Advanced capabilities including Impella placement, PFO closure, and intravascular lithotripsy
• Left and right heart catheterization with or without nitrous oxide available onsite
• Busy practice environment free from administrative duties with decision-making participation
• Located approximately 1 hour from Charlotte, North Carolina
