Opportunity Information

Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is recruiting for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Ambulatory Palliative Care Physician. Provide Palliative Medicine consultation services and participate in the Palliative Supportive Care Services interdisciplinary team.

Founded in 2005, SEBMG is a rapidly growing multi-specialty medical group with physicians and advanced practice clinicians working across more than ten care centers and four hospitals in the San Francisco East Bay Area. It is affiliated with the Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation (SEBMF), a not-for-profit organization supporting operational and administrative functions. The foundation provides advanced technology and clinical support, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care. SEBMG includes over 400 clinicians across more than twenty specialties, committed to exemplary healthcare.

  • Provide Palliative Medicine consultation services in various settings: Home, SNF, RCFE, Hospital, and Office (including Palliative Care, Cancer Center, and embedded primary care clinics).
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members, including NPs, social workers, RNs, chaplains, and care coordinators.
  • Facilitate access to supportive care services, coordinate with inpatient colleagues, referring providers, outside agencies, and hospices.
  • Adhere to clear referral criteria (e.g., no chronic pain management).
  • Contribute to the development and growth of outpatient programs through quality improvement and educational outreach.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
  • Subspecialty Board certified or eligible in Hospice/Palliative Medicine
  • Current California medical license in good standing
