The Indian Health Service in the United States is seeking physicians to deliver compassionate care to American Indian and Alaska Native people, guiding healing and hope across generations. A minimum recruitment/relocation sign-on bonus is available as you join the team.

You will provide expert medical care, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to teaching, quality improvement, and clinical innovation within a mission-driven federal health system.

Formación

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Selectee may be subject to a probationary period.
• This is a Direct Hire Authority vacancy; new appointments to the civil service.
• Must obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges and licensure.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert patient-centered medical care including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute, chronic, and preventive health needs within specialty.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care.
• Perform specialty-specific diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or surgical procedures consistent with training and credentialing.
• Contribute to teaching, mentorship, and professional development of medical staff, students, and trainees.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation initiatives.
