Summary

Newark Wellness Center, part of Alameda Health System, is an outpatient center serving a diverse patient population. Job Description

We are recruiting for a Services As Needed (SAN)/Per Diem, Board Certified Provider (Adult Medicine). The provider will deliver professional medical services at Alameda Health System hospitals and clinics, assist in the administrative and clinical direction of a medical specialty, provide consultative services, and may serve as an assistant or relief for the chief of a specialty service. Supervision of Physician I level staff may be required. Performs related duties as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provide compassionate, culturally competent, patient-centered care.
  2. Supervise Mid-level Practitioners/Certified Nurse Midwives in assigned areas.
  3. Practice evidence-based medicine, staying current with standards of care.
  4. Manage patient care efficiently, including follow-up on lab results, medication refills, and radiology reports.
  5. Collaborate with the clinical team to improve quality of care and service delivery.
  6. Educate patients, families, and staff; provide health counseling.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an approved residency in an appropriate specialty.
  • Valid California medical license and Board Certification or eligibility; Board certification within three years of hire.
  • CPR/BLS certification; DEA registration.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in California.
