Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
• Board certification or board eligibility in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry).
• Valid DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and treatment of patients with behavioral health and developmental disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage medications.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency medical care as needed.
• Document patient encounters in electronic health records.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and grand rounds.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on medical conditions and preventive care.
• Maintain licensure and complete continuing medical education requirements.
