Job summary

Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta (GRHA) seeks a Physician (Board Certified) for the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). The role provides comprehensive medical services, directs medical teams, and coordinates care across behavioral health and developmental disability programs.

The position requires a medical degree recognized by GCMB, Georgia licensure or eligibility, and board eligibility with background checks.

Qualifications

• Medical degree recognized by GCMB and licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine in Georgia as provided by state law.
• Board Eligible is required for this role.
• A national and state background check is required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and take histories, order tests and consult with other medical practitioners.
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other medical care.
• Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, assistants, and other medical staff.
• Provide emergency medical care as needed.
• Coordinate care with other health professionals to promote health and prevent illness.
