Job description

Seeking board-certified/board-eligible Neurologist with experience and/or training in stroke or vascular neurology for a team in Sioux Falls, SD.

  1. This is a full-time, salary-supported position.
  2. You will serve as a staff neurohospitalist providing neuro consultation only. Admission and primary medical management are provided by general hospitalists. You will also be responsible for neuro management of patients throughout the hospital.
  3. You will be part of a Comprehensive Stroke Team consisting of neurointerventionalists, neurointensivists, skilled nursing staff, and certified hospitalists.
  4. Our neuroscience team includes three neurointensivists, three neurohospitalists, one neurointerventionalist, six neurosurgeons, six neurologists, five physiatrists, and advanced practice providers.
  5. You will have opportunities to participate in neurohospitalist practice efficiencies, quality improvement programs, and educational activities for medical students, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals in the Brain & Spine unit.
  6. Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, vacation, and CME allowances.
  7. Relocation assistance and professional liability coverage are provided.
  8. Potential for involvement in clinical research and a clinical faculty appointment with the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.
  9. Academic activities include teaching medical students, family practice residents, and internal medicine residents.
