Job summary

Sansum Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our inpatient team on California's Central Coast. The role features a hybrid hospitalist model with ~12 shifts per month, no on-call burden, and strong specialty support.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Internal Medicine or Family Medicine experience.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• DEA certificate or eligible for DEA licensure.
• Eligible to work in the United States and obtain CA licensure.
• California license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Join an inpatient hospitalist team with a hybrid model and scheduled shifts.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care with multidisciplinary support.
• Coordinate care with specialists and use the Epic EHR system.

The position follows a hybrid hospitalist model, with an average of 12 shifts per month, including approximately 7 day shifts and 5 night shifts. There is no traditional call responsibility, as all coverage is provided through scheduled shifts.
