Job description

Physician / Hospitalist - Pediatric / Pennsylvania / Permanent / Pediatric Hospitalist Physician - Altoona, Pennsylvania

Description: The Pediatrician must have an MD or equivalent, be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics, and be able to obtain an unrestricted PA license. Must have experience in neonatal procedures including neonatal resuscitation, intubation, lumbar puncture, peripheral venous access, umbilical catheter placement, and circumcision. J1 and H1B visa sponsorship are available.

Opportunity Details:

1. 14 shifts per month, 7 on/7 off schedule
2. 24-hour in-house coverage is not required during the 7-day week
3. Neonatal NPs provide in-house night coverage, reducing night call
4. Coverage of pediatric, nursery, and newborn patients, as well as inpatient consults
5. Facilities include twenty-two bassinets for Level 1, 8 beds for Level 2 neonatal, and a 12-bed pediatric unit, with 1600 deliveries per year
6. Opportunity for extra shifts for additional income
7. Clinical academic appointment available
