Job description

Seeking full time Board Certified/Eligible Pediatrician to join Nocturnist team in Phoenix, AZ, providing care to the underserved population of Maricopa County. The position includes employment through a multi-specialty group with 400+ providers exclusively contracted to provide patient care and teaching at the hospital.

The hospital is committed to top notch pediatric care and has a Pediatric ED, NICU, PICU and Pediatric Acute Care Unit. There is also a very robust FQHC Ambulatory Clinic with general pediatric and subspecialty services adjacent to the hospital and additional ambulatory FQHCs providing pediatric primary care around the city.

  • The successful candidate will join a group of 8 Pediatric Hospitalists providing medical education and patient care at a public, teaching hospital in Phoenix, AZ.
  • The hospital, is a major affiliate of the Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
  • Our pediatric services include a 24-hour Pediatric Emergency Department, a 10-bed Pediatric in-patient unit, a 6-bed PICU, a busy newborn nursery, and a Level III NICU.
  • Deliveries are covered by the NICU service.
  • Pediatric specialty services are readily available.
  • The Pediatric Hospitalists cover the Inpatient Pediatric Unit as well as the Couplet Care and Level II Nursery.
  • Daily rounds are held with pediatric residents and medical students.
  • The pediatric residency program and pediatric hospital medicine fellowship is in partnership with Phoenix Children s Hospital and accepts 36 residents per year.
  • The Pediatric Hospitalists also teach family medicine residents.
  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required.
