Job description

Seeking a full-time BC/BE Hematology/Oncology Physician as we continue to expand in our thriving rural community. Our system serves a population of approximately 90,000 within a 25-mile radius. This is a well-established, respected organization experiencing growth. It is a Level II Stroke Center, a Level III trauma center, and a Level II Nursery, with a 100-bed acute care and 16-bed skilled nursing community hospital. The hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic, radiation therapy, a full-service sleep lab, medical/surgical care, and a 24-hour cardiovascular surgery department. Radiation Oncology Services include: Varian Linear Accelerator with 3D, IMRT, and SBRT treatment capabilities.

• Approximately 450 new cancer cases per year
• Our robust Oncology program has grown 5% annually over the last 10 years
• Large Primary Care referral base
• Collaborative environment with Cardio-Thoracic Vascular Surgeons, Pulmonary/Critical Care, and ENT Surgeons
• Call schedule: one week on, one week off, with significant flexibility
• Support staff includes: primary nurse for each physician, registration and referral staff, pre-authorization, patient navigation, billing and coding experts, a tumor registrar, and six chemotherapy/biotherapy RNs
