Job summary

Sentara Health is actively seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join our hematology-oncology team in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Based at the Sentara RMH Hahn Oncology Center, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer care in a supportive, collaborative environment with access to the latest treatment protocols.

The role features a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.), primarily outpatient care, and a shared call rotation with a collegial group

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist.
• Outpatient, ambulatory clinic with minimal inpatient consults.
• Experience in multidisciplinary cancer care is preferred.

Based at the Sentara RMH Hahn Oncology Center, this opportunity offers the chance to practice high‑quality, patient‑centered oncology in a supportive and collegial environment. Our team is deeply committed to delivering comprehensive cancer care that is innovative, compassionate, and tailored to each patient’s needs, while continuing to advance oncology services throughout the region. The practice includes a dedicated group of 7 physicians and 1 nurse practitioner who provides personalized, evidence‑based care in a modern setting designed to support both patients and providers. Physicians enjoy access to the latest treatment protocols ensuring patients receive advanced care while allowing providers to remain engaged at the forefront of oncology.

Position Highlights

• Comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care within a high‑volume, well‑established practice


• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., supporting excellent work‑life balance, including one dedicated administrative day per week

The base pay range for full‑time employment is $498,742.40 - $567,008.00 annually.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full‑time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
