Job description

Outstanding opportunity for a BE/BC OB-GYN with strong leadership skills to be Chairperson of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Department in southwestern Connecticut.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the Obstetrics & Gynecology department, overseeing safety, quality, and service.
  2. Develop departmental plans, goals, and objectives.
  3. Serve as the primary teacher and site director for the Ob/Gyn residency program.
  4. Demonstrate expertise in team building, program development, and a commitment to quality and safety.
  5. Possess strong obstetrical skills.
About the Medical Center:
  • Performs 500 gynecologic procedures annually, including gynecologic oncology and urogynecology.
  • Handles 1500 deliveries per year with a level 3a neonatal ICU.
  • Primary teaching hospital for medical students and physician assistant students.
  • Serves a diverse community with three groups of independent physicians.
