Summary of Position
We are seeking a Gynecologic Surgeon to perform gynecologic surgeries. Come join us in pursuit of high-quality outpatient care, utilizing the latest developments and advanced surgical techniques and treatment. There will be no Obstetrical responsibilities.
The Ideal Candidate:
A minimum of two to four years of gynecologic surgery experience.
Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of gynecologic conditions and improve patient outcomes including but not limited to endometriosis, leiomyomas and adnexal masses.
Must be able to prevent, recognize and manage potential surgical complications derived from gynecologic surgeries.
Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Interest in Population Health Management.
Principal Accountabilities:
Collect and record patient information, such as medical histories, reports and examination results. Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
Review patient's history and perform physical examination.
Evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of gynecologic conditions. Provide preventive care.
Provide relationship-centered care, considering the patient's psychosocial and physical needs.
Perform hysterectomies and myomectomies for benign conditions, open and minimally invasive.
Diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.
Diagnostic and operative laparoscopy.
Diagnostic cystoscopy.
Endometrial ablation.
Perform in-office procedures (including but not limited to LEEP, colposcopy, hysteroscopy/endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, pessary care).
Communicate effectively and cordially with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications :
Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent
Completion of four year post graduate medical training from an accredited residency program in area of practice.
Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Fellow American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG)
Robotic certification strongly preferred.
Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license
Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration
Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll
BLS or ACLS certification required but both strongly preferred
Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written
Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (EPIC preferred) and Microsoft Office
