Job description

Mercy Gastroenterology is currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist physician to join our GI Hospitalist team at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City.

Mercy Gastroenterology Oklahoma City:

• Work 26 weeks a year with an attractive block schedule of 7-on/7-off, promoting work/life balance in this busy specialty.
• Inpatient and ER coverage only, with an average of 5-6 inpatient consults per day and associated procedures.
• Capacity for elective cases is available but not required.
• Mercy's NEW Center of Excellence for Digestive Diseases
• The hospitalist team (employed, internal medicine) will admit patients, while the GI Hospitalist will serve as the primary for new consults and calls.
• In-house during the day and on-call at night.
• Support from a large, comprehensive team of physicians including surgical oncology, medical oncology, general and interventional GI, IBD specialists, colon and rectal surgeons, and general surgeons.

This Position Offers:

• A competitive shift-based model earning $726,000+ for 26 weeks a year or 182 shifts annually.
• $50,000 commencement bonus.
• 10% annual bonus available starting in the second year.
