Job summary

Banner University Medical Group in Tucson, AZ, seeks a BC/BE Geriatrician to join a growing outpatient geriatrics program serving the greater Tucson area and Southern Arizona.

You will join an interdisciplinary team devoted to geriatric medicine and healthy aging, supporting the Banner Alzheimer's Institute and expanding access to care close to patients’ homes.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligible in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure.
• Passion for caring for geriatric patients.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care.
• New graduates and experienced physicians are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient care for geriatric patients, including those with frailty, cognitive impairment, and complex medical needs.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions common in the aging population.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to build individualized care plans focused on quality of life and functional status.
• Collaborate with colleagues across geriatrics specialties.
• Contribute to program growth and community access initiatives.

Geriatrician - Growing Community Outpatient Practice

Banner University Medical Group & University of Arizona Department of Medicine | Tucson, Arizona

Banner University Medical Group (BUMG) and the University of Arizona Department of Medicine are looking for a BC/BE Geriatrician to join a growing geriatrics program in Tucson, Arizona.

This is a full-time clinical position focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to geriatric patients across the greater Tucson metropolitan area and Southern Arizona. You will be joining a collaborative, interdisciplinary team passionate about geriatric medicine and healthy aging supporting the mission of the nationally recognized Banner Alzheimer's Institute, with a shared commitment to bring care closer to where patients live and reduce barriers related to transportation and mobility.

Practice Highlights

• Full-time, outpatient position

• Monday through Friday schedule

• Equal rotation of practice call

• Faculty appointment with the University of Arizona Department of Medicine, commensurate with experience and credentials

• Physician trainee precepting opportunities for qualified candidates
