Job summary

Cynet Health in Indiana seeks a Physician - General Surgery to join our surgical team. The role covers on-call weekends with Thursday 7:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM shifts, or every other weekend.

Candidates should have general surgery skills, trauma care, and be prepared for laparoscopic procedures such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy. Board Certification eligibility is required for credentialing; fellowship experience is appreciated.

Qualifications

Description:This position requires every weekend coverage from Thursday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM.Alternatively, every other weekend coverage is also an option, spanning the same hours.The facility has a patient encounter rate of approximately 8 per shift.The facility has a trauma level of 3.Specialty skills needed include adult general surgery.Pediatric surgery is not required.Preferred procedures include various types of laparoscopic surgeries, such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy.Hernia procedures and Nissen fundoplication are also preferred.Certain procedures such as head/neck surgery, thoracic surgeries, and plastic surgeries are not required.Fellowship experience is appreciated.Candidates must be able to manage trauma situations.The ability to insert central lines and chest tubes is preferred but other advanced procedures are not a necessity.The facility operates with 15 beds in the department.To apply, candidates must meet the necessary board certification criteria.Credentialing may take up to 60 days.
