Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Palos Heights, IL is seeking a dedicated psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health team, delivering high-quality outpatient care to adults in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

You will conduct initial evaluations, manage treatment plans and medication, with 36 patient-facing hours weekly at an outpatient clinic in Orland Park and inpatient privileges at NM Palos Hospital. Board eligibility/certification and IL licensure are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for adult patients.
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including medication management.
• Full-time, 36 patient-facing hours per week in outpatient clinic and inpatient privileges.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Support program development within Behavioral Health.

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our growing Behavioral Health team in Palos Heights, IL. This role focuses on providing high-quality outpatient psychiatric care to an adult patient population in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Position Highlights:

• Join a team of 11 established and well-respected physicians
• Conduct new psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for adult patients
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including medication management

• Support program development and expansion of advanced behavioral health treatment modalities
• System-wide Epic EMR
