The role involves clinical duties for both inpatient and outpatient care, with a balanced schedule and on-call responsibilities, using the Epic EMR system. • Fellowship Training in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Diseases.
• Eligible for licensure in Kansas; J-1 waiver support via State programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care with cardiac MRI expertise.
• Share on-call duties (1:6 day rotation) with monthly call pay.
• Utilize EMR (Epic) for documentation and order entry.
• Participate in a clinical practice without research or teaching requirements.

Education

Position Summary / Career Interest: Physician - General Cardiologist The University of Kansas Health System is expanding and seeking a General Cardiologist with cardiac MRI expertise to join the dynamic team at our St. Francis Heart & Vascular Center in beautiful Topeka, Kansas. About the Position

Inpatient/Outpatient Mix EMR: Epic Single-Specialty Group of 9 Cardiologists, 8 APC, and support staff (RN, LPN, CAN, MA, secretarial and front office) Clinical practice plus dedicated admin time, no research nor teaching required Procedure Rooms and Testing Available On-Site: Nuclear Stress, Echo, Vascular Sonography, Coumadin Clinic, Cardiac Rehab, Vein Clinic Referrals from Primary Care and Multiple Specialists Schedule: varies, some weekend requirement. Daily Patient Load: Clinical 2-3 patients per hour; Inpatient varies Call: 1:6 day rotation (5 per month), telephone only and with excess call pay.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent ABIM Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist
• Fellowship Training in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Diseases Cardiology Fellows interested in a clinical setting are welcome to apply
• Eligible for licensure in Kansas J-1 waiver support via State Conrad 30, ARC, DRA, HHS based on location and specialty.
