Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is expanding and seeking a General Cardiologist with cardiac MRI expertise to join the St. Francis Heart & Vascular Center in Topeka, Kansas. This is a well-established academic health system offering comprehensive services and strong support staff.

Position includes inpatient/outpatient mix, Epic EMR, and a 1:6 call schedule with extra pay. The group provides base salary with wRVU incentives, a 2-year guarantee, CME stipend, relocation, and full benefits.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• ABIM Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist.
• Fellowship Training in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Diseases.
• Cardiology Fellows welcome to apply.
• Eligible for licensure in Kansas.
• J-1 waiver support via State Conrad 30, ARC, DRA, HHS based on location and specialty.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient/outpatient mix.
• Call: 1:6 day rotation (telephone only, with excess call pay).
• Referrals from Primary Care and multiple specialists.
• Procedure rooms and testing available on-site (Nuclear Stress, Echo, Vascular Sonography).
• Clinical practice with dedicated admin time; no research or teaching required.

The University of Kansas Health System is expanding and seeking a General Cardiologist with cardiac MRI expertise to join the dynamic team at our St. Francis Heart & Vascular Center in beautiful Topeka, Kansas. About the Position

• Inpatient/Outpatient Mix
• EMR: Epic
• Single-Specialty Group of 9 Cardiologists, 8 APC, and support staff (RN, LPN, CAN, MA, secretarial and front office)
• Clinical practice plus dedicated admin time, no research nor teaching required
• Procedure Rooms and Testing Available On-Site: Nuclear Stress, Echo, Vascular Sonography, Coumadin Clinic, Cardiac Rehab, Vein Clinic
• Referrals from Primary Care and Multiple Specialists
• Schedule: varies, some weekend requirement.
• Daily Patient Load: Clinical 2-3 patients per hour; Inpatient varies
• Call: 1:6 day rotation (5 per month), telephone only and with excess call pay
