Description Summary: Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's is seeking a faculty member to fill a full-time position in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, specializing in Motility Disorders. This position offers a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and a full benefits package.

Job Duties:

1. Clinical responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and performing general GI procedures.
2. The candidate is expected to participate in supervising and educating medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology.
3. The division has established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and has successfully trained five fellows.
4. The Voelker Clinical Research Center offers support for faculty interested in pursuing clinical research.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Outpatient clinical care for children with various intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders.
• Inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room consultation for children with similar disorders.
• Performing general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• M.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O. degree, or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME-approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent).
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine (or eligible).
