Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist with expertise in managing GI diseases.
  • Experience in performing admissions, consultations, and daily rounds.

Job description

Seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join our GI hospitalist team.

Responsibilities:
  1. The GI hospitalist service will manage acute hospitalizations related to GI diseases.
  2. Manage various GI conditions such as ERCPs, GERD, PUD, GI bleeding, esophageal and variceal bleeding, GI cancers, Crohn's disease, IBS, and other related illnesses.
  3. Perform admissions, consultations, daily rounds, and discharges.
  4. Write and dictate history and physical notes, consults, and daily progress notes.
  5. Prescribe and order medications, therapies, diets, and interpret laboratory and imaging studies and procedures within clinical privileges.
  6. Conduct patient counseling, comprehensive teaching, consenting, and preparation for inpatient GI procedures.
Work Schedule:

Monday through Sunday, 7 am to 7 pm, every other week. Hospital location only.
