We are offering a locum tenens position for a Gastroenterologist in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The details of the assignment are as follows:

1. Schedule: Starting August 1, 2024, with 7-day blocks (one or two weeks per month). Shifts begin Friday at 5 PM and end the following Friday at 5 PM.
2. Coverage Details: Call coverage includes 24-hour shifts with a 30-minute response time. The typical patient load involves weekday rounds at 8 AM with 4-6 outpatient procedures, such as screening colonoscopies, and weekend on-call coverage with hospital rounding as needed.
3. Patient Population: 100% adult patients.
4. Support Staff: Collaboration with Physician Assistants during rounds and throughout the day.
5. Requirements: Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible, with ACLS and BLS certifications. A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred. Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration are required. Candidates needing licensure sponsorship are not eligible.
6. Job Highlights: Provide comprehensive gastrointestinal care, including endoscopy procedures (EGD and colonoscopies). Support team growth and transition due to upcoming retirements. Full privileges available with an estimated credentialing period of 60 days.
7. Compensation: $6,500 per 24-hour shift (all-inclusive). Travel expenses are covered, including airfare, lodging (up to $150 per night), rental car, and mileage reimbursement.
