Job description

Mercy Gastroenterology is currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist physician to join our GI Hospitalist team at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City.

Mercy Gastroenterology Oklahoma City:

1. Work 26 weeks a year with an attractive 7-on/7-off block schedule, promoting work/life balance.
2. Provide inpatient and ER coverage, with an average of 5-6 inpatient consults per day and associated procedures.
3. Elective cases capacity available, but not required.
4. Be part of Mercy's NEW Center of Excellence for Digestive Diseases.
5. Collaborate with a hospitalist team (Employed, Internal Medicine) managing patient admissions, while GI Hospitalists handle consults and serve as primary for new cases.
6. In-house during the day and on-call at night.
7. Receive support from a comprehensive team of physicians including surgical oncology, medical oncology, general and interventional GI, IBD specialists, colon and rectal surgeons, and general surgeons.
8. Work at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, a top-rated hospital recognized by Fortune/IBM Watson, with ongoing awards for patient safety and consumer loyalty.

This Position Offers:

1. Competitive shift-based compensation (starting at $726,000+) for 26 weeks or 182 shifts annually.
2. $50,000 commencement bonus.
3. 10% annual bonus available from the second year.
