Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo is seeking a Gastroenterology Hospitalist with advanced GI fellowship training to join a premier, 583-bed tertiary facility. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, IR/radiology, and transplant surgeons, with opportunities for endoscopy during off weeks for additional compensation.

The program emphasizes collaboration and high-quality patient care within a community-oriented setting in Fargo, ND.

Qualifications

• Gastroenterology fellowship completed and fellowship-trained GI surgeon.
• Experience in hospital-based GI practice preferred.
• On-site collaboration with transplant pancreato-biliary surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Provide GI hospitalist coverage within a 583-bed tertiary/trauma center.
• Perform/endoscopy procedures when needed for additional compensation.
• Collaborate with oncology, radiation oncology, IR/radiology, and surgery teams.

Practice Details

• 14 days on/14 days off

• Recently upgraded endoscopes, Olympus 190 series

• Spyglass

• Esophageal and anorectal motility lab

• Fellowship trained colorectal surgeon

• Transplant trained pancreato-biliary surgeons on-site for collaboration

• Bariatric Surgery Program

• Bi-week GI malignancy case conference with oncology, radiation oncology, IR/radiology, surgery and GI

• Ability to do endoscopy procedures in off weeks for additional compensation based upon need

• Advanced GI Fellowship required

• 583-bed tertiary/trauma hospital

Compensation Package

GI Hospitalist (Advanced) – Fargo

• Shift rate of $5,600 per 24-hour shift, with opportunity to commit to up to 182 shifts per year.

• In addition, a $200,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain at least a 1.0 FTE for 4 years (this will be subject to a contractual agreement specifying all details)
