Job summary

Essentia Health Brainerd is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join a small, dedicated GI team. The practice features a mix of endoscopy (70%), outpatient clinic (20%), and inpatient care (10%), with admissions managed by hospitalists.

There is no buy-in, no malpractice overhead, and a supportive work environment. The position is full-time (FTE 1) with Day/Eve/Night rotation in Brainerd, Minnesota, located in a community known for lakes, trails, and a family-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Experience with endoscopy and outpatient GI clinics.
• Flexible with call and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provide GI care with 70% endoscopy, 20% clinic, and 10% inpatient duties.
• Call is 1 weekend per month and 1 night per week.
• Admit decisions managed by hospitalist service; bread-and-butter GI practice.

Compensation

• $715,000 Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
